Convince yourself of the power of Equilibar® products
Our application engineers can often assess beforehand how our instruments are going to perform based on your process data, the specifications of the instrument, and a ton of experience. At a minimum, your choice for PCS precision control products should be a so-called educated guess!
However, sometimes there are good reasons to test an instrument with your process conditions – this can be done in our test lab or in fact in your application with a loan device – before you decide to commit to a purchase.
Generally, there are 3 situations where the delivery of a test unit can be helpful.
1. Not yet familiar with PCS & Equilibar? Would you like to assess if our products meet your requirements?
We understand that not everyone will just take our word for it; engineers are known to want to convince themselves!
For many application requirements, we can offer a trial unit on loan for a test period. Because the (re-)configuration of an Equilibar back pressure regulator is very easy, and because we keep several units for internal testing and demo purposes, we are very flexible in configuring a trial unit for your particular needs.
Trial fees are relatively small and might even be deducted when you decide to purchase.
2. Your requirements are on the edges of the predicted performance
In case of more challenging application requirements, it could be the case that we flag certain uncertainties around the predicted performance of the products we propose to you.
In such situations, we will gladly propose to perform in-house or on-site testing and/or a trial delivery. So we can both learn and convince ourselves how the instruments will perform under your process conditions.
The benefit goes both ways: You don’t take any chances when placing your order; we get to expand our expertise in precision process control. We believe this type of knowledge sharing with (future) customers is so crucial for PCS, that we gladly invest in these projects!
3. When there is no product available in our standard portfolio. Yet!
Sometimes, customers require instrumentation that does not even exist yet. But with our broad expertise of process control and instrumentation and components available in the market, we can often engineer a new product specifically for you. Both factory validation and on-site testing might be needed then. Both Equilibar and PCS are well-equipped to provide you with a customized instrument. Designing new instruments and modifying existing products for innovative use is our “normal”. It is what we do and part of our daily routine,
Development costs depend on many parameters: Is the new model intended solely for you, or can we add it to our product portfolio? How many pieces do you need? How much work is needed to validate the desired performance?
Product innovation and expanding our expertise is of strategic value to us, so PCS will consider applications like these as an opportunity, and we will openly discuss needs and requirements with customers for our mutual benefit.
